Italian officer sentenced to 30 years in jail over spying for Russia

An Italian navy officer has been sentenced to 30 years in jail for promoting secrets and techniques to Russia.

A navy courtroom in Rome sentenced Walter Biot for spying for Russia, together with promoting prime secret paperwork, in keeping with media experiences Thursday.

Military prosecutors had requested for a life sentence as a result of he took footage of 19 confidential NATO paperwork, together with these marked “Top Secret.”

“Biot traded secret documents and showed a high degree of infidelity and capacity for crime,” stated prosecutors, in keeping with the Italian news company, ANSA.
