More than 200 staff had been evacuated from a coal mine in southern Russia on Sunday after it full of smoke, RIA news company quoted an emergency official as saying.
The incident occurred at a depth of practically 200 metres (650 ft) on the Obukhovskaya mine within the metropolis of Zverevo, Interfax stated.
It was not clear what prompted the incident or whether or not any miners had been nonetheless underground. Officials on the mine couldn’t be reached for instant remark.
