Türkiye has reaffirmed its assist for Azerbaijan following an Armenian assault that killed three Azerbaijani troopers.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu supplied condolences to his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on Wednesday after the incident.

The Azerbaijani troopers had been killed on Tuesday throughout an assault by Armenian forces within the Lachin district of the East Zangezur area, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry stated in a press release.

“Units of the Armenian armed forces fired at the opposite positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of Lachin district from their positions located in the direction of the Digh settlement of the Gorus region, using various calibre weapons,” the assertion stated.

The assertion stated the Armenian aspect continued to fireplace at Azerbaijani positions within the area utilizing mortars and large-caliber weapons and that retaliatory measures taken by Azerbaijani forces resulted in “a significant number of losses” on the other aspect.
