Türkiye urges immediate humanitarian cease-fire in Sudan

On the fourth day of clashes between the Sudanese military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Force (RSF), Türkiye on Tuesday referred to as for an instantaneous humanitarian cease-fire to assist the civilians affected by the battle.

In a press release, the Turkish Foreign Ministry mentioned Ankara is following the clashes that erupted between the military and paramilitaries in Sudan with concern.

Fighting erupted on Saturday between the Sudanese military and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces within the capital Khartoum and its environment.

Since then no less than 185 individuals have been killed and 1,800 injured in armed clashes between the army rivals, in keeping with the OHCHR, the UN human rights workplace.
