German police arrest man for trying to set fire to mosque

Police within the southeastern German metropolis of Dresden arrested a person late Tuesday for potential arson of a mosque.

The suspect allegedly spilled petrol in entrance of a mosque and tried to set the constructing on fireplace, a police spokesman stated.

The man, 34, was arrested and is below police investigation for tried aggravated arson. His motive was initially unclear.

The similar suspect is alleged to have set fireplace to a Quran in a mosque in April.

Witnesses known as the emergency companies quantity after they noticed the person spilling petrol outdoors the mosque, which was well-attended on the time of the incident.
