Türkiye has taken “vital steps” within the power subject regardless of the continuing disaster, the nation’s Communications Director Fahrettin Altun mentioned.

Altun’s remarks came a day after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the discovery of an additional 58 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the Black Sea, bringing the total volume of natural gas in the Black Sea to 710 billion cubic metres.

“Our drill ship Fatih has explored 58 billion cubic meters of pure gasoline reserves, 3,023 meters beneath the ocean, on the Caycuma 1 block,” said President Erdogan following a Cabinet meeting at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

“Our new exploration will pave the best way for comparable explorations in different geological fields adjoining to the area. We will launch new drilling as quickly as potential,” Erdogan added.
