Canada will double its dedication to the NATO mission in Latvia, upping its financial contribution to CAN$2.6 billion (US$1.95 billion) and promising as much as 2,200 troops, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated Monday.
Trudeau made the promised increases-the cash is over three years-in Riga, Latvia, previous to the NATO Summit that will get underway Tuesday. The prime minister additionally introduced a bigger dedication in response troops.

Trudeau met with newly-inaugurated President Edgars Rinkevics of Latvia in addition to Krisjanis Karins, Latvia’s prime minister. The leaders promised strengthened ties and a dedication to advance democracy.
