Türkiye, Qatar to create joint investment for chip production

A joint funding for the manufacturing of semiconductors will probably be launched between Türkiye and Qatar, the business and know-how minister mentioned Friday.

“Qatar decided to move its investment for producing 65-nanometer chips to Türkiye. It is projected to be worth over $60 million,” Mehmet Fatih Kacır mentioned at a news convention within the capital Ankara.


He added that Türkiye goals to draw extra international traders for large-scale investments within the semiconductor business.

Türkiye is engaged on accelerating investments in new era, hybrid and electrical autos, to spice up its export capability and meet home demand, Kacır mentioned.


He mentioned that 1 million items of Türkiye’s first indigenous electrical automobile model Togg will probably be produced by 2032.


Togg started promoting its first mannequin, the T10X, within the home market and plans to ship 20,000 items of electrical vehicles inside this 12 months.
