NATO partner Slovakia gets air surveillance radar from Germany

Slovakia, situated on the japanese flank of NATO, will obtain its first air surveillance radar from the German Bundeswehr armed forces.

The system is on the best way and will arrive at its vacation spot in Nitra in western Slovakia on Tuesday, a spokesman for the Air Force mentioned in Berlin on Monday.

The supply of the radar system is a part of a complete supply of air defence parts to Slovakia.

The Bundeswehr additionally plans to ship the Mantis air defence to Slovakia.

The Bundeswehr has stationed the Patriot air defence system in Slovakia intermittently.
