29th Sarajevo Film Festival begins in Bosnia

The twenty ninth Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) started Friday within the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina with Slovenian director Nenad Cicin-Sain‘s Kiss the Future.

The opening ceremony was held on the National Theater with main celebrities from the world of cinema taking to the pink carpet parade.

The SFF will run till Aug. 18, and viewers worldwide can watch greater than 230 movies from 70 nations.

Kiss the Future, a documentary film, showcases the wrestle of Sarajevo residents and the way assist employee Bill Carter’s dedication resulted in enlisting U2 and drawing the world’s consideration to the Bosnian battle.

Sector-related conferences can be held on the TRT Industry Terrace, set to open within the competition space.

Forty-nine movies within the function movies, quick movies, documentary movies and pupil movies classes will compete for the “Heart of Sarajevo” award.

The competition started 29 years in the past to erase the traces of the 1992-1995 battle in Bosnia and Herzegovina and make the town a middle of tradition and artwork once more.

Past competition attendees included Robert de Niro, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Daniel Craig, Orlando Bloom, John Malkovich, Gerard Depardieu, Morgan Freeman and Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan.
