The German authorities regrets the choice of Chinese President Xi Jinping to not attend a G20 summit happening in New Delhi from Sept. 9, a spokesperson stated on Monday.

China will likely be represented by Premier Li Qiang, not President Xi Jinping, whereas Russia has confirmed President Vladimir Putin’s absence, suggesting that neither nation is more likely to be a part of any consensus.
