Türkiye has taken over the helm of NATO‘s Response Force Maritime Component from the UK for one 12 months.

The command of the NATO part shall be carried out by the Turkish Maritime Force (TURMARFOR) till Jan. 31, 2024.

Rear Admiral Hüseyin Tığlı, head of TURMARFOR and the Turkish Surface Action Forces, mentioned NATO has 5 headquarters with this functionality and TURMARFOR’s headquarters is one in all these 5.
