E-commerce large Alibaba is planning to speculate $2 billion in Türkiye, its Turkish unit Trendyol mentioned on Monday.

The announcement got here after Michael Evans, the president of Alibaba, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul on Friday.

Evans advised Erdoğan that Alibaba has invested $1.4 billion within the nation through Trendyol due to the e-commerce large’s confidence in Türkiye’s sound financial fundamentals.


He shared particulars with the Turkish president about new investments equivalent to the information middle and logistics middle in Ankara and the export operations middle at Istanbul Airport.
