Russia on Wednesday relaunched manufacturing of the Soviet-era Moskvich automotive at French carmaker Renault‘s former plant within the Russian capital, news companies reported.
Renault bought its majority stake in carmaker Avtovaz in May to the Russian state for reportedly only one rouble, however with a six-year choice to purchase it again. It bought its plant south of Moscow, now renamed the Moscow Automobile Factory Moskvich, for an additional rouble.
