Erdoğan to attend economic cooperation meeting in Uzbekistan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will head to Uzbekistan to attend the sixteenth Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) on Nov. 8-9, the Presidential Communications Directorate stated Tuesday.

Erdoğan will tackle the summit session in Tashkent on Wednesday. The president can be anticipated to carry bilateral conferences with taking part leaders on the sidelines of the summit.

Discussions on varied matters, equivalent to enhancing the effectiveness of the group of which Türkiye is a founding member, in addition to bettering commerce, transportation networks, and connectivity amongst member nations, are deliberate.

ECO is a political and financial intergovernmental group based by Türkiye, Pakistan and Iran in 1985 to function a platform to debate and enhance growth and promote commerce and funding alternatives. It at present has seven extra members: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
