Istanbul Modern’s Cinema is ready to host the Locarno Film Festival, one of many oldest and most distinguished movie festivals worldwide because the occasion will function a rigorously curated number of 10 movies, together with award-winning gems from this 12 months’s Locarno Film Festival.
Müge Turan, the curator of Istanbul Modern’s Cinema, expressed her enthusiasm for the occasion. She highlighted the importance of the Locarno Film Festival, identified for its distinctive fashion and occasions, which celebrated its 76th anniversary final summer season.
“Every year, in August, the Locarno Film Festival hosts impressive films. In preparing the selection, we prioritized bringing award-winning films from young filmmakers from different geographies to Turkish audiences,” Turan said.
The lineup contains notable movies making their Turkish premiere, similar to “Critical Zone” by Iranian director Ali Ahmadzadeh, winner of this 12 months’s Golden Leopard, regardless of going through a journey ban exterior Iran.
