UN chief deeply concerned by widening Myanmar conflict

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated Wednesday he’s “deeply concerned” concerning the widening battle in Myanmar, sparked by an offensive launched by ethnic minority armed teams final month.

Guterres is “deeply concerned by the expansion of conflict” throughout an enormous swathe of the nation that the UN says has displaced greater than 200,000 folks, spokesman Stephane Dujarric stated in a press release.
