A chicken flu outbreak has been detected in a farm that raises some 9,000 mallard geese in Bulgaria‘s southern city of Brezovo, in accordance with native media on Thursday.
To management the outbreak, measures have been put in place, together with the formation of a three-kilometer (1.86-mile) safety zone and a 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) surveillance zone across the affected location, state-run BTA news company reported, citing the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA).
Though meat and merchandise detected from the flu don’t pose a danger to human well being, actions will probably be taken to cull the sick and contacted birds on the premises, it added.
