Banned French basketball player desires to return to court wearing headscarf

French basketball participant Salimata Sylla is determined to play in official matches together with her head cowl after being barred from sporting a headband in January of this 12 months.

Nicknamed “Sila,” a participant for the third league group Aubervilliers, started sporting a headband three years in the past.

The Ball.Her Women’s League is here to admit all the girls, without discrimination or inequality, for us to enjoy the basketball we love so much.”

Since 2017, the French authorities and the International Federation of Basketball have allowed gamers to put on scarves whereas taking part in, she added.

The FFBB has but to reply to her questions in regards to the ban.

Salimata Sylla stated she aspires to return to the FFBB league together with her headband, including that the French Handball Federation permits girls to play with heads coated.
