Swiss prosecutors revealed on Thursday that they’ve discontinued their three-year-long legal investigation into FIFA president Gianni Infantino concerning suspicions of collusion with officers associated to the corruption scandal that plagued the worldwide soccer governing physique.
Infantino declared a “full and clear victory” within the case and demanded an apology from what he known as the “envious and corrupt” individuals out to tarnish his popularity.
A probe was opened in July 2020 to research suspicions of collusion between Infantino and Switzerland’s then-attorney normal, Michael Lauber, the nation’s prime prosecutor.
