Mehmet Büyükekşi reelected as TFF president in landslide victory

Mehmet Büyükekşi emerged victorious as the only real candidate within the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Ordinary Election General Assembly, securing his reelection as president.

The presidential election passed off on the JW Marriott Hotel in Ankara on Thursday, setting the stage for a brand new period of management in Turkish soccer.

Büyükekşi garnered a formidable 169 out of 191 votes, solidifying his place on the helm of the TFF.

It is value noting that 22 votes have been deemed invalid, highlighting the importance of the election.

The newly shaped board of administrators, led by Büyükekşi, contains a gaggle of esteemed people who convey numerous experience and expertise to the desk. Among the notable names are Ibrahim Burkay, Yusuf Günay, Yalçın Orhan, Alkın Kalkavan, Hamit Altıntop, Müslüm Özmen, Volkan Can, Ali Dusmez, Erman Kalkandelen, Ramazan Üçdan, Ruşen Cetin, Mustafa Eröğüt, Şafak Müderrisgil and Haluk Kalyoncu.

Expressing his gratitude, Büyükekşi vowed to proceed his unwavering dedication to additional elevating Turkish soccer within the subsequent 4 years with the assist of the newly shaped board.

He expressed his appreciation for the belief positioned in him and his workforce, emphasizing unity and an inclusive strategy to management.

“We will spare no effort to build upon our past achievements and strive for excellence in the future,” Büyükekşi stated. “I extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your trust and support.
