French ex Formula One driver Patrick Tambay, who gained two Grand Prix for Ferrari within the Eighties, has died after an extended sickness on the age of 73, his household introduced on Sunday.
Tambay, who had been affected by Parkinson’s Disease, had spells with the Theodore, McLaren and Renault groups.
But it was throughout his time with Ferrari that he notched up his two profession wins.
The first got here at Hockenheim in 1982, adopted up by a win on the long-lasting Italian constructor’s residence turf at Imola the next season.
