Max Verstappen has hinted he may retire from Formula One when his contract with Red Bull expires in 2028, saying: “I want to do other stuff.”

Verstappen retained the drivers’ championship in dominant trend this marketing campaign, posting 15 victories in 22 races – a brand new single-season file.

However, talking earlier than he claimed a file third straight victory on the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday, Verstappen highlighted F1’s influence on his household life and forged doubt upon his long-term future within the sport.

“At one level, what’s extra vital? Is household extra vital, or is F1 extra vital? That’s when it’s worthwhile to make your thoughts up.”

Verstappen completed the season 146 factors away from second-placed Charles Leclerc within the drivers’ championship standings, having wrapped up his second world title with 4 races to spare.
