Chief of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Ziad al-Nakhala on Sunday claimed the group was holding 30 Israeli prisoners as captives.

The web site of Al Mayadeen Television, identified to be near the Hezbollah in Lebanon, printed al-Nakhala’s assertion.

Saying {that a} complete of 30 Israelis, together with Israeli troopers and settlers, had been captured by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, al-Nakhala stated the Israelis might solely be launched in alternate for Palestinian prisoners.

Palestinian group Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on Saturday, saying it was in response to the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and elevated settler violence. It stated it fired rockets and captured many Israelis.
