His spectacular win of first place in a Bulgarian match in 2020 highlights his international dominance within the sport.

At an age when most would ponder retirement, Altun stated, “Those who know me do not accept that I am 72 years old.”

He firmly believes that desk tennis is a sport for all ages, emphasizing, “You start when you are young; you can easily do it until your last breath.”

In a current Eskişehir match, Altun confronted rivals over the age of 35, securing a second-place end within the particular person class and a first-place victory within the doubles class alongside his teammate Murat Tuzcu.
