The Belarusian Defence Ministry mentioned on Tuesday it had began workout routines to test its armed forces’ fight readiness.

“The troops will march as soon as possible to the designated areas, followed by the performance of normative standards on the subjects of combat training,” the ministry mentioned. It didn’t specify when the workout routines would finish.

The manoeuvres will happen within the Minsk and Vitebsk areas and can contain army {hardware} and aviation.

Military drills in Belarus, which allowed Russia to make use of its territory as a staging put up for its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, periodically elevate safety considerations in Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic states.

Minsk has denied any hostile plans in direction of its neighbours, however warned that any incursion in opposition to Belarusian territory will invite a response.
