Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu introduced that social media platform X, previously often known as Twitter, appointed a consultant in Türkiye.
“They didn’t have a representative before but we have been in touch. We recently imposed an advertisement ban and it has been relatively effective,” Uraloğlu informed an interview on Wednesday. He stated that Türkiye would have applied a bandwidth restriction on the social media platform if they’d not appointed a consultant.
He famous that the difficulty was mentioned within the newest cupboard assembly.
Türkiye’s nationwide telecommunications regulatory and inspection authority, the Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK), applied bandwidth throttling on social media platform X for failing to satisfy any obligations decided inside the framework of legal guidelines within the nation, akin to appointing a consultant and administrative fines.
