U.S. magazine: Baykar paves the way for Turkish defense firms to export their products | Baykars success opens doors for other Turkish defense firms

In an interview with the US protection journal Breaking Defense, Haluk Bayraktar, the General Manager of Baykar, expressed that the corporate is making important strides, akin to an “icebreaker,” to pave the best way for different Turkish protection business enterprises.

The landmark protection settlement signed between Saudi Arabia and Baykar in July, marking the biggest deal in Turkey’s protection historical past, solidified Saudi Arabia’s buy of drones from the main Turkish protection business agency.

Recently, Baykar expanded its export and collaboration endeavors with Saudi Arabia by sealing an export and cooperation pact with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense for the Bayraktar AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TİHA).

The evaluation by the US protection journal Breaking Defense spotlighted the remarks of Haluk Bayraktar, underscoring the importance of those agreements.

Bayraktar, in his assertion to the journal, highlighted Baykar‘s pioneering position and its capability to foster alternatives for different Turkish protection business corporations.

Bayraktar famous: “Our partners ASELSAN and ROKETSAN have also struck agreements with NCMS based on their technological capabilities. These agreements will pave the way for numerous companies in the Turkish defense and aerospace sector to form new partnerships and expand their export capacities.”

Bayraktar emphasised that the current settlement entails SAMI (Saudi Arabian Military Industries) aiding within the home manufacturing of Akıncı components. He added, “In doing so, we are contributing to technology transfer by sharing the knowledge and expertise we have accumulated through years of R&D efforts.”

“I believe these agreements will significantly bolster Saudi Arabia‘s Vision 2030 initiative, aimed at localizing technology development and production,” Bayraktar remarked.

While Aselsan and Roketsan are the preliminary Turkish corporations following Baykar’s lead, Breaking Defense‘s specialists predict that extra will be a part of. They opine that these agreements will forge an enduring relationship between the protection industries of each nations, additional enhancing Türkiye‘s collaborations with different Gulf international locations.
