The U.S. authorities on Thursday issued a declaration on the accountable use of artficial intelligence (AI) within the navy, which would come with “human accountability.”
“We invite all states to join us in implementing international norms, as it pertains to military development and use of AI” and autononous weapons, mentioned Bonnie Jenkins, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control.
Jenkins was talking at a world summit on accountable use of navy AI in The Hague, Netherlands, the primary of its form.
