2 Israeli citizens who ran onto Istanbuls airport tarmac to catch plane arrested, deported

This week two Israeli residents had been deported from Türkiye after working onto an Istanbul airport tarmac and endangering safety, Turkish safety officers stated Thursday.

Trying to get to Tel Aviv from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport, on Tuesday a father and son exited the boarding bridge they had been in with out permission and ran onto the tarmac, as they’d been unable to get to their airplane on time.

After being caught by airport safety, the 2 had been arrested by the police for endangering flight safety.

At airports, entry to the tarmac is strictly restricted to approved personnel.

They had been later taken to the provincial migration administration directorate and repatriated.
