African volunteers become playmates for child victims of Türkiye earthquakes

Three African college students, who got here to Türkiye‘s southern Kahramanmaraş province after the Feb. 6 twin earthquakes, are accompanying the social actions of the kids.

Gambian Abdullah Amadue, 31, Huseyin Ahmed, a 24-year-old from Niger, and Hamza Idrissa, a 24-year-old from Burkina Faso, are collaborating within the actions carried out within the Afşin district as Turkish Red Crescent volunteers.

The three African college students who’re learning at Bartın University in northwestern Türkiye, act as playmates in social actions held in tent cities.

Idrissa instructed Anadolu that they’re deeply saddened by the catastrophe in Türkiye.

He mentioned they’re attempting to do their half in post-quake restoration efforts. “We maybe can’t take their pain away, we can’t make them forget their pain, so we said, ‘Let’s do what we can’.”

Computer engineering scholar Ahmed mentioned that he got here to the area to assist earthquake victims.
