American scientist undergoes treatment in Türkiye’s 3rd deepest cave

A crew of rescue personnel is tirelessly working to deal with an American scientist Marck Dickey who fell in poor health throughout his analysis expedition in Türkiye’s third deepest cave at a depth of 1,276 meters in Mersin’s Anamur district.

On Sept. 3, the crew, comprised of each Turkish and international researchers, launched into their journey into the Morca cave – an entrance to the Taurus Mountains – descending from an altitude of two,100 meters. In response to the emergency, a rescue crew of over 100 people, together with personnel from AFAD, UMKE, the gendarmerie, the Turkish Mountaineering Federation and worldwide specialists, was swiftly dispatched to the positioning and Dickey obtained important medical consideration instantly.
