According to BBC‘s report, the notification system, Google Alerts, which operates on Android telephones, was investigated by BBC workers to find out whether or not it had despatched notifications through the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş. While visiting the three main cities affected by the earthquakes, the staff reported that the system had not activated.
Although Google officers acknowledged that notifications have been despatched to thousands and thousands of customers’ telephones earlier than the primary main earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, BBC officers talked about that they didn’t encounter anybody who had obtained an alert throughout their analysis.

How does Google Alerts work?
