Bear cub spotted in NE Türkiye taken under protection

A bear cub discovered by residents within the Yağlıdere district of Türkiye’s northeastern Giresun was taken underneath safety by municipality authorities on Tuesday.

Citizens, who noticed the cub wandering across the Akdarı neighborhood, knowledgeable officers from the Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate (DKMP).

Health checks have been carried out by veterinarian groups on the Giresun Municipality Animal Shelter, the place the authorities lodged the bear cub.
