Some 849.88 kilograms of artificial medicine had been seized and 14 suspects had been arrested in Istanbul throughout operations carried out in 9 districts from June 11 to July 18 as per Anadolu Agency (AA) stories on Monday.
According to the assertion made by the Istanbul Police Department, the Anti Narcotics Department continues its relentless efforts to fight drug manufacturing and trafficking within the metropolis.
Within the scope of those efforts, 14 suspects had been detained in 10 operations carried out within the districts of Başakşehir, Şile, Tuzla, Avcılar, Gaziosmanpaşa, Esenyurt, Bahçelievler, Büyükçekmece and Şişli between the said interval.
The artificial medicine had been seized in the course of the searches carried out on the suspects’ addresses and automobiles. After the mandatory procedures on the police station, all 14 people had been despatched to court docket and subsequently arrested.
In addition, the assertion talked about that between June 23 and July 23, the Anti Narcotics Department carried out investigations into 2,941 incidents in Istanbul, and a complete of three,507 people had been processed.
