Hong Kong has began strengthening radiation inspection of seafood imports from Japan, Kyodo news company reported on Saturday.
The tighter inspections began in mid-June and customs clearance of Japanese seafood was delayed by about three hours in comparison with the traditional state of affairs, the report mentioned.
Hong Kong on Friday conveyed its excessive considerations over Japan’s plan to launch Fukushima handled water into ocean.
The Japanese authorities has confirmed that some shipments of Japanese seafood have been held up at China’s customs.
