Magnitude 5.6 quake rocks Türkiye’s Tokat

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook Türkiye’s Tokat province, in line with the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

The epicenter of the quake, which came about at 6:11 p.m. native time (3:11 p.m. GMT) was the Sulusaray district, AFAD stated.

The quake came about at a depth of 5.99 kilometers (3.72 miles), in line with the catastrophe administration authority.

It was felt in close by provinces, together with Samsun, Çankırı, Çorum, Yozgat and Sivas.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that AFAD and different related establishments have began work to scan the realm for any harm.

AFAD famous that some materials harm was reported after the earthquake, together with a two-story house in Yozgat and 5 barns in Tokat.

Tokat Mayor Mehmet Kemal Yazıcıoğlu stated there have been no issues in downtown Tokat however some buildings within the Sulusaray district sustained harm.

In current weeks, earthquakes with a magnitude of 4.7 and 4.1 shook Tokat’s Sulusaray, inflicting panic amongst residents.
