New species of inverted tulip discovered in Türkiye’s Elazığ

Türkiye, recognized for its floral species and uncommon inverted tulips, popularly generally known as the “weeping bride,” has found a brand new species of inverted tulip plant within the Karakoçan space of the japanese province of Elazığ.

Veysel Sonay, a postgraduate pupil at Şanlıurfa Harran University’s Biology Department, noticed that the flower he got here throughout in Elazığ throughout his area research was wanting completely different from different species.

Stating that Türkiye has a variety of reverse tulips, Yıldırım mentioned there are round 170 species of reverse tulips on the planet.

“We are the country harboring the world’s highest number of reverse tulip species. We are also at a very important point in terms of the number of endemics as 26 of 49 reverse tulip species in this region are endemic.”

Noting that this new species, which has been named “Karakoçan tulip,” is generally seen in early spring, Yıldırım mentioned that they’re bulbous tuberous vegetation as inverted tulips with a bent neck and yellow-colored recommendations on a reddish brown texture.
