Turkish customs officials seize 28 pythons at Bulgarian border

Twenty-eight pythons had been seized in the course of the operation performed by Turkish customs officers on the Kapıkule border with Bulgaria Tuesday.

Edirne provincial safety groups searched a truck on the Kapıkule Border Gate and confiscated the snakes, as per Anadolu Agency (AA) stories.

Investigating a tip, the groups totally examined the truck belonging to the suspect recognized as I.Okay.

The snakes, which had been discovered within the trailer part of the truck, had been hid inside a fabric bag, wrapped in ladies’s stockings.

Out of the 28 pythons found, one was already lifeless.

Following the seizure, the motive force, I.Okay., and a passenger, F.Ç., had been taken into custody.

The snakes had been subsequently taken underneath veterinary supervision and handed over to the Edirne Nature Conservation and National Parks Branch Office.
