Turkish Airlines (THY) paid homage to the worldwide search and rescue groups, together with their life-saving canines, by flying them again to their locations in business class on Wednesday.
Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines Ahmet Bolat stated, “We have decided all crews, including the search and rescue dogs, will fly business class back to their countries, as an appreciation for their heroic efforts in Türkiye.”
After the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes jolted southeastern Türkiye, and claimed 1000’s of lives, the skilled canines, who helped rescue many individuals from rubble with groups within the catastrophe space, traveled in business class on Turkish Airlines flights after finishing their rescue efforts.
