Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Thursday met with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha within the capital Ankara.

In a Twitter submit, Çavuşoğlu mentioned he thanked Taha for exhibiting solidarity with Türkiye after the Feb. 6 twin earthquakes that claimed lives of greater than 43,500 individuals.

The Turkish overseas minister additionally welcomed Nigeria‘s Federal Capital Territory Minister Muhammad Musa Bello and thanked him for “his solidarity visit after earthquake.”

Çavuşoğlu individually spoke over the telephone with Mirjana Spoljaric, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, in line with Turkish diplomatic sources.

Spoljaric conveyed her condolences over the lack of lives within the quakes.

The magnitude 7.7 and seven.6 earthquakes, centered in Kahramanmaraş province, affected greater than 13 million individuals throughout 10 provinces, together with Hatay, Kilis, and Malatya.
