Turkish foreign minister thanks Turkish community in Bulgaria for solidarity after Feb. 6 earthquakes

Türkiye’s international minister thanked the Turkish neighborhood in Bulgaria on Wednesday for exhibiting solidarity after the Feb. 6 earthquakes.

He stated Bulgaria was the primary EU nation to ship search and rescue groups after the earthquakes and the primary within the bloc to fly flags at half-staff.

Turning to Türkiye’s efforts to mitigate international and regional crises, Çavuşoğlu stated Ankara would strengthen its entrepreneurial and humanitarian international coverage.

“We will make more efforts for peace. The country that made the most effort to end the war in Ukraine is Türkiye,” he stated.

Türkiye is in fixed contact to make sure no accident occurs once more on the Zaporizahzhia nuclear energy plant, he stated. The plan in Ukraine was captured by Russia in 2022 and has been broken by shelling. “We will also have a meeting with (International Atomic Energy Agency) Director General Rafael Grossi in Vienna on Friday.”
