Turkish President Erdoğan meets Kyrgyz counterpart in Kazakhstans capital

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Thursday met along with his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov in Kazakhstan‘s capital Astana.

“President (Erdoğan), who is in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana for the 10th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, met with President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan,” the Turkish presidency stated on X.

No additional data was supplied concerning the assembly.

Earlier within the day, the Turkish president arrived in Astana, the place he’ll attend the OTS summit on Friday and maintain varied bilateral conferences.

The OTS, previously known as the Turkic Council, was established in 2009 as an intergovernmental group made up of outstanding impartial Turkic nations that work collectively to raise relations and union amongst themselves.

Its members are Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, whereas Hungary in addition to Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have observer standing.
