The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned Friday a U.S. State Department‘s human rights report on Türkiye which it stated consists of “false information and baseless allegations.”
The ministry stated Türkiye continues to combat terror organizations, notably PKK/PYD/YPG, FETÖ, Daesh/ISIS and DHKP-C, with willpower, in step with worldwide regulation and respect for human rights.
It stated it doesn’t settle for “this just struggle” being distorted and mirrored within the report in that method.
“We regret that the report includes only in one part the terrorist attacks carried out by the PKK in our country in 2022 and the human rights violations committed by the organization on an unconcealable scale,” it stated in an announcement.
The ministry additionally slammed the U.S. company for failing to say that the so-called “Syrian Democratic Forces,” which the U.S. stated violated human rights in Syria, was underneath the management of the PKK/PYD/YPG terror group.
“We question the legitimacy and credibility of the report,” stated the assertion, accusing Washington of turning a blind eye to the actions of the PKK/PYD/YPG and FETÖ terror organizations.
“We emphasize once again that this report, which is clearly shaped by political motives and is completely devoid of objectivity, cannot be taken seriously, and we invite the United States to focus on its own record on human rights,” it stated.
The ministry famous that Türkiye won’t “give credit to these baseless and biased accusations” within the report and can resolutely proceed its efforts to guard and enhance the rights of its residents and the hundreds of thousands of individuals it hosts.
