Türkiye is making an attempt to oppose communication and media imperialism with its personal means, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun stated on Friday.

“We, as Türkiye, try to hold out the wrestle for justice within the discipline of communication as nicely, which our president (Recep Tayyip Erdoğan) is main, by saying {that a} fairer world is feasible and that the world is greater than 5.”

“We are trying to oppose communication imperialism with our own means,” Altun stated on the Türkiye Alumni Forum in Istanbul, referring to Türkiye’s world media networks.

“We strive to be the voice of oppressed societies … with the efforts of many institutions, especially Anadolu Agency and TRT, through the international news networks we have created, and with the effort of our private sector,” he added.

Altun stated Türkiye additionally makes efforts to interrupt injustice towards western hegemony in manufacturing of leisure content material, some of the vital areas of the media.

The communications director confused that with the transformation in communication applied sciences, disinformation replaces data, which results in “disinformation wars” on the nationwide and world stage.

“We have seen this in the war that is going on right next to us, the parties prefer to explain themselves to the international public in a way, not through information, but through disinformation … they see disinformation as a strategic communication tool,” Altun stated.
