Türkiye launched its 1st indigenous high-resolution Earth remark satellite tv for pc, IMECE, on the Vandenberg Space Force Base within the US on Saturday.
The Turkish-made pioneering satellite tv for pc was blasted off early on Saturday from the Vandenberg Space Force Base within the US state of California at 0648 GMT.
The launch marks the primary time that Türkiye can have an electro-optical satellite tv for pc digital camera with sub-meter decision in orbit.
The IMECE’s orbit might be sun-synchronous at an altitude of 680 kilometers (422.5 miles) and serve within the areas of protection, catastrophe administration, setting and urbanization, and agriculture and forestry.
During its mission span of 5 years, the satellite tv for pc will take photographs from all over the world.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan additionally made remarks on the occasion with a video message, saying that “IMECE is to be Türkiye’s most advanced observation satellite in terms of image resolution, communication speed, and maneuverability.”
“Türkiye carried out the design, production, assembly, integration and tests of observation satellite IMECE itself,” Erdoğan added.
“Türkiye developed IMECE’s vital applied sciences, together with flight computer systems and the communication techniques, indigenously, Erdoğan stated.
