Turkish intelligence forces have neutralised the mastermind of the bomb assault in Istanbul in northern Syria, in response to Anadolu Agency.

Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) killed Halil Menci in a pinpoint operation, media retailers reported citing safety sources on Friday.

Turkish authorities had been on the hunt for Menci, a member of the terrorist group YPG/PKK, who carried out the lethal assault in Istanbul’s Istiklal Avenue that killed six individuals and wounded 81 extra on November 13, 2022.

MIT’s particular operations crew had been carefully following Menci after it was realized that he was being protected by the phobia group and was in touch with senior YPG members.

Menci, who directed the perpetrators of the Istanbul bomb assault, Ahlam Albashir and Bilal Hassan, and enabled Hassan to flee overseas, was “neutralised” in northeastern Qamishli metropolis which is below the PYD/YPG management.
