Pakistan‘s southern port metropolis of Karachi hosted a seven-day joint army train with Türkiye, the Turkish National Defense Ministry stated on Tuesday.
“Heroes of friendly and brotherly countries are together for ‘Crescent and Star’! ‘Crescent and Star-2022 Exercise’ was held with the participation of underwater attack (SAT) teams from the Turkish Naval Forces and Iqbal Teams from the Pakistan Navy,” the ministry stated on Twitter.
The train, held on Dec. 19-25, aimed to extend the interoperability between the naval forces of the 2 nations and to develop cooperation within the army area.
Türkiye’s relations with Pakistan have developed on the premise of shut friendship because the declaration of Pakistan’s independence in 1947, and the 2 nations have come a lot nearer within the protection area with Ankara pledging help to strengthen Pakistan’s army infrastructure.
