The complete variety of folks in Türkiye killed within the devastating earthquake has reached 40,689, the catastrophe authority AFAD stated on Sunday.
Search and rescue efforts in 9 quake-hit provinces have ended, besides Kahramanmaraş and Hatay, AFAD Chairman Yunus Sezer advised reporters in Ankara.
More than 1.2 million individuals are believed to have evacuated the south-eastern Türkiye catastrophe zone.
Over 1 million locals at the moment reside in short-term shelters in quake-hit provinces, AFAD’s Sezer stated.
