Türkiye rescues 241 migrants pushed back by Greece in April

Turkish Coast Guard Command groups in western Türkiye’s Aydın province rescued 241 irregular migrants, together with 63 kids, pushed again by Greece within the Aegean in April.

Pushed again by the Greek coast guard and left to die, the migrants had been concerned in eight incidents final month. After being rescued, they had been delivered to the Aydın Repatriation Center for well being checks.

According to the info of the Coast Guard Command, 21 irregular migrants, together with six kids, had been rescued off Kuşadası on April 5, 23 irregular migrants who got here ashore by their very own means and had been rescued by the gendarmerie station groups on April 6, and 37 irregular migrants, together with 5 kids, on April 7.

Some 42 irregular migrants, together with 19 kids, had been rescued off Kuşadası on April 10, 24 irregular migrants, together with 9 kids, had been rescued on April 11 and 35 irregular migrants, together with 16 kids, had been rescued on April 11.

Fifteen irregular migrants, together with 5 kids, had been rescued on April 17, and 44 irregular migrants, together with three kids, had been rescued on April 21.

The operations towards irregular migrants attempting to cross to Greece with rubber boats or life rafts off the coast of the Didim and Kuşadası areas of Aydın proceed.
